Bowel Cancer Screening invitations are sent every 2 years to everyone between the ages of 60 and 74. Cancer screening is for people without symptoms. If you think you might have symptoms, please see the GP straight away, even if you have recently had screening.
We strongly recommend that you send your sample as soon as possible. We believe that early detection and early treatment can save lives.
Most people will have normal results, only a few might have to go for further tests if stool test is positive.
Please do not ignore your invitation letter. If you would like to discuss this further with one of the Doctors in the surgery, we would be very happy to advise you over the telephone or in person if you prefer. Alternatively, further information can be obtained by:
If you have misplaced your kit, please call the free bowel cancer screening helpline on 0800 707 60 60 to order a new kit.
