Prescriptions

We no longer accept prescription requests via email.

Please use one of the following options to order your medication:

  • NHS App https://www.nhs.uk/nhs-app/
  • PATCHS via the homepage on our website
  • Paper prescription request form – available at the practice
  • We are unable to accept requests over the telephone unless from housebound patients.

If you are unable to use the NHS App or PATCHS, our reception team will be happy to assist.

Please allow two full working days for prescriptions to be processed and remember to take weekends and bank holidays into account.

If you have a prescription query, please contact the surgery on 0151 677 2425 and select option 2 to speak to our Medications Manager between 10am-2pm. Please be patient when calling option 2, this line is monitored by 1 person only, so may result in a longer wait to call through.

NHS Prescription charges

These charges apply in England only. In Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales prescriptions are free of charge.
