📢 New Online Appointment & Query System – Launching 10 February 2026
From Tuesday 10 February 2026, Hoylake Road Medical Centre will be using a new online system for appointment requests and enquiries called Blinx PACO GP. This will replace our current online consultation system, PATCHS.
This change is part of wider NHS improvements and is designed to make it easier and quicker for patients to access the right care at our practice.
🖥️ What is Blinx PACO GP?
Blinx PACO GP is our new Digital Front Door, allowing patients to:
Some appointments that do not require clinical triage can be booked directly online, without needing to call the surgery.
📅 What do I need to do?
From 10 February 2026, to request an appointment or submit a query, please click the “Submit Online Request” button on our website.
All administrative and prescription queries should be submitted via Blinx PACO GP where possible.
📱 Prescriptions
Patients can continue to order repeat prescriptions via the NHS App, which remains the most efficient way to do so.
☎️ What if I can’t use online services?
We understand that not everyone is digitally confident. Patients can still contact the practice by phone, and our reception team will be happy to help submit an online request on your behalf if needed.
We kindly ask that patients who are able to use digital services do so, as this helps keep phone lines free for those who cannot use online systems.

We appreciate that changes to systems can be frustrating. While system choices are often made at a wider NHS level, our priority remains providing safe, timely, and fair access to care for all our patients.
